Don Charlet

Donald J. Charlet, Jr. was born and raised in Clinton, Louisiana, where his love for craftsmanship began in his father’s workshop. In 1988, he built his first piece of furniture for his future wife, Susan. Don studied Architecture, Business Administration, and Engineering at LSU, which laid the foundation for his career. In 2001, he founded Charlet Brothers Construction, building over 100 homes throughout the region. By 2003, he expanded his vision with The Corbel, a home interiors store offering custom furniture, antique architectural salvage, and design support for his clients. Don has designed and built more than 1,000 pieces of furniture and has mentored numerous carpenters over the years. A licensed private pilot and sailing captain with over 3,500 hours at the helm, Don lives life with passion and purpose. His work reflects a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, beauty, and the joy of building something that lasts.
John Luke Charlet

John Luke Charlet was born and raised in Zachary, Louisiana. Since he was young, John Luke can remember going to construction sites with his dad, where he claims his love for construction began. John Luke graduated from LSU with a degree in Construction Management and a minor in Business in 2020. Since then, John Luke has been an integral part of the family business, proudly working to carry on his father's legacy. He takes pride in the skill and attention that goes into building someone’s forever home and feels fortunate to share that journey with his dad. John Luke's favorite part of the construction process is seeing his client's dream homes finally come together. John Luke is an avid hunter and outdoorsman who feels most at home in the woods. Whether he's in the woods or out on the water, you’ll almost always find him with his trusty dog, Saint, by his side. Their bond is as steady as their aim, making them an inseparable team..
